The kids are out of school, you’ve saved up all of those vacation days all year for it, the pressure is on for this vacation to be the best! It can be hard to pick – how far do you want to go? How much money do you want to spend? How are you getting there? Be sure to explore these options before you make your decision!
Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Cape Cod, lovingly referred to in New England as “The Cape” has so much to offer no matter what time of year you go, however, early June is arguably the best time to go. You’ll get to experience the Cape without the crowds you see in August. There’s plenty of fun adventures for you and your family to go on. While you’re there, make sure you check out The Whydah Pirate Museum, go Whale Watching, or eat some of the freshest seafood you’ve ever had!
Atlanta is quickly becoming a major hub for fashion, sports, and film. In May alone, 33 different TV shows were filmed there including cult favorites Stranger Things and The Walking Dead. If monsters and zombies aren’t quite your thing, check out the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coke, or Ponce City Market! Atlanta is nice and warm in June, make sure you pack accordingly!
I know what you’re thinking; “every blog suggests Disneyland!” However, I want to assure you Disney is simply an added bonus to the beauty that is Anaheim! Located in the famed Orange County, California, it’s a quick drive or train ride to Los Angeles where you can rub elbows with celebrities. Luckily since it is a hub for tourism (thanks again, Disney!) many day trips leave from Anaheim as well! Check out this one which tours the Warner Bros Studios.
Would you believe me if I told you the desert was only 78°F during the day in June? It’s hotter in Florida during June! If you’re looking for a culturally enriching vacation, this is it. Gobi Desert Tours can be found through travel agents, but do independent research as well. It’s important to go with a tour you trust, according to Goats on the Road. During this tour you will be fully immersed in the culture, well beyond just eating their food!
Loire Valley, France
Enjoy the Loire Valley’s breathtaking beauty, it’s rich history and delicious beverages. France’s Loire Valley is home to a number of historic castles that look as though they’re meant to be in the middle of Disneyland. Check out Château de Chambord or any of the other various castles around! Have a little adult fun checking out some of the Loire Valley’s wineries, such as Chinon.
Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada
At Lake Louise you can enjoy the serenity of the lake while taking in natures hard work. Travel and Leisure calls it “truly relaxing.” While you’re up there, be sure to check out the historic Lake Agnes Tea House. It offers a unique coffee shop experience.
